RheoSend™ is a secure, web-based system that enables you to confidentially share files and messages with recipients. There is no software to install, and your recipients don’t need to create an account. It is designed to be as straightforward as possible—if you can use a web browser, you can use RheoSend.

RheoSend utilizes ultra-secure hardware security modules with AES-256 encryption, one of the most trusted and reliable protocols available. Your data is stored only until it''s downloaded, after which it’s permanently deleted based on your retention policy. You can also set up your account to automatically delete files after a certain period of time.

Before you get started, it's important that you understand the terminology and conventions used in this guide. The following table includes terms used in this guide that are specific to the RheoSend platform and components.

Term	Definition
User	RheoSend consists of two (2) web sites, one for those who sign up for a RheoSend account and want to create RheoSend links to share; and the other for recipients of those links. A RheoSend user (User) is a person who either creates a RheoSend account to create links or someone who the RheoSend account owner defines to create links.
Recipient	A RheoSend recipient (Recipient) is someone who receives RheoSend links from a User. A Recipient does not create a RheoSend account. A Recipient receives a link from a User and enters their name and email address to access the files within the link.
Link	A RheoSend link is an actual web link you create to share files and messages. There are two (2) types of links: a Share link and a Receive link.
Share Link	A RheoSend Share Link is created by a User to share User files with Recipients. The User uploads files to the RheoSend cloud and then can send emails to Recipients to download those files. The User and Recipient can send individual, confidential messages to each other as well.
Receive Link	A RheoSend Receive Link is created by a User to receive files from Recipients. The User creates a receive link and then sends it to Recipients. Recipients will upload files to the RheoSend cloud for the User to download. The User and Recipient can send individual, confidential messages to each other as well.
Message	In addition to sharing files, RheoSend allow a User and Recipient to communicate with each other using secure and confidential messages. When you message a Recipient, the Recipient will receive an email notification that they have a message waiting for them. The Recipient can then log into the RheoSend portal to read and respond to the message. Likewise, a Recipient can message a User.

User Website – The User website allows you to create a RheoSend account as a User. You can create and manage links, files, and messages. You access the User website through a web browser at https://rheosend.com.

Recipient Website – The Recipient website allows a recipient to access one of your links. The recipient can upload/download files depending on the link type. A Recipient access the website through a web browser using the link you provide them. These links will begin with https://my.rheosend.com?val=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx where the x's are a unique identifier for the link.

RheoSend Viewer – The RheoSend viewer is a component of both the User and Recipient websites that allow you to view supported files.
